The “four seasons” of the Athens’ National Garden

Take your favorite strolls through the bench-laden paths and under the cool green “roof” of the Garden’s mixed tree tops and you may find yourself among the lucky ones awarded in the photographic contest currently running by the Municipality of Athens and “Photografos” magazine. Under the title “The National Garden during the four seasons of the year”, the contest calls for the Athenians and the city visitors - no matter their photographic skills and experience - to take pictures of the National Garden that would capture its beauty, its colors and unique features all year round, during all four seasons of the year.

The best three photos of each season will be awarded, while all participating photos will be included in a group exhibition. The three winning photos of the “spring” season – out of 1,114 submissions - have already been announced and along with a collection of photos that received a special honor are currently on display on the Garden’s wall overlooking Vasilissis Sofias Avenue.

For the “summer” collection, the contest is open and running. Make sure you submit your entry no later than August 30! The “autumn” and “winter” will follow coming September and onwards. Find out more here.
