Acropolis Museum celebrates its 5th birthda

The Acropolis Museum celebrates its 5th birthday this Friday June 20, a big day for the museum to also launch an ambitious digital restoration program of the Parthenon sculptures. Horse riders of the west frieze will be presented in 3D digital images with additions of copper weapons and bridles, with alternating light and colour testing.

Also on that day, admission to the Museum will be reduced to 3 euros for all its visitors, while the exhibition areas will remain open from 8a.m. till midnight.

At 9:30 p.m., the Museum will stage a music concert in its entrance courtyard featuring the famous artist Leon of Athens.
