Beach in Elafonissi among the top 25 beaches in the world

The beach of a tiny little island in Elafonisi was placed among the top 25 beaches in the world for 2014, according to users of the esteemed travel webside “TripAdvisor”.

Located in west Crete, 75 kilometres southwest of Chania, the all white sandy beach of Elafonissi features 17th right after the Hawaiian beach Ka’anapali. “Breathtakingly beautiful. The water is crystal clear and the sand displays tones of pink from seashells”, commented users of the webside about the Greek beach, indicating further that the best time to visit it is the May to October period.
