A culinary and cultural adventure begins on the island of Kea. On June 27, 2015, renowned Greek chef and cook book author, Aglaia Kremezi and her family open their country home and kitchen to initiate their new friends-travelers into the Mediterranean way of healthy living through cooking lessons for traditional Greek and Mediterranean dishes. A ferry will take you to Korissia, the port town of Kea from where your daily tour to the Mediterranean cooking tradition begins. With the sun at its pick you will enjoy lunch at Aglaia’s beautiful garden and savor the dishes and other delicacies prepared in class. Will you then take a drive up to Loulis-Chora where you will stroll around its picturesque alleys and continue on a short hike along an old trail leading to oak forests where you will also see the famous ancient smiling lion carved onto a gray rock, the island’s landmark. Heading back to the port, you will take the ferry to Lavrio, and reach Athens later in the evening.
