Efforts to lengthen the greek tourism season

The Institute of Tourism Research and Forecasts (ITEP) brings on the table a series of measures aiming to lengthen the Greek tourism season, reports Kathimerini.
The Institute proposed, among others, that the Tourism Ministry would coordinate local deals with tourism professionals. It was also proposed, a reduction in third-party levies on hotel rates and tax exemptions to tourism businesses involved in season extension programs. According to the ITEP’s report presented on Tuesday, the islands of the Ionian and the Southern Aegean, as well as Crete, demonstrate the shortest tourism season in the country.
