Flu wave likely to last another three months

Greek Health authorities are raising citizens’ awareness on the current flu wave, which according to the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (KEELPNO) will likely last another three months. Authorities call on citizens to be particularly thorough with personal hygiene amid an outbreak in the number of flu cases, which have so far led to five deaths with another 10 cases to be treated in intensive care units. Commenting to Kathimerini, experts have recently expressed fears of a repeat of the 2013-14 flu season, when more than 300 people were hospitalised in intensive care.
