Former minister denies all charges

His innocence claimed former Finance Minister George Papaconstantinou who appeared before a special court on Wednesday, strongly denying all charges brought upon him of tampering with the so-called Lagarde list of Greek depositors with Swiss bank accounts. The former minister is accused of removing the names of three of his relatives from the list he was first given in 2010 by Christine Lagarde, the French Finance Minister at the time. If convicted, he faces a long prison sentence, particularly if found guilty of offences against the state.
