Immigrants flows to Greece to triple by end of year

The undocumented immigrants flows to Greece will triple by the end of the year, said the Merchant Marine Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis to a parliamentary committee on Wednesday, reports Kathimerini. Some 30,000 migrants are expected to have entered Greece illegally by the end of 2014, up from 9,000 in 2013, estimated the minister who blamed the warfare in Syria and the Jihadists’ operations for this growing influx, stressing that televised beheadings of victims and news of mass graves and mass attacks have led to “increased pressure on our borders”.
