National Geographic chooses Santorini in its photo of the day

A stunning photo of Santorini has been chosen by National Geographic to cover its Picture of the Day slot. The idyllic village of Pyrgos was photographed by Laetitia Guichard, captured with long exposure the cloud movement over the village. "The sky was perfect for this sort of treatment," said Guichard. "Pyrgos is an authentic reflection of Greece - perfect for an artist and photographer."
