The “illustrious” Parnassos Ski center, Greece’s biggest and best-organized ski center, located at the Sterea Ellada region, welcomes the new ski season with a new look and upgraded facilities. From December 20, passionate skiers will be enjoying ultramodern lifts, among which an all-new “combi” lift to connect, for the first time, the Kellaria site with the Vakhos slope, one of the four most advanced “combi” lifts in the world with a capacity to safely elevate skiers from 1.750m to 2.250m altitude in less than 10 minutes.
With its lifts and facilities renewed, the first renovation phase at Parnassos Ski Center is completed. The project was under the care of the Public Properties Company (ETAD) through NSRF funds, in cooperation with the Tourism Ministry, the Region of Sterea Ellada and the municipalities of Amfiklia, Arachova and Delphi.
The second phase, already in progress, involves refurbishing and modernizing works at the Fterolaka site. It also includes the installation of a wind farm to provide the ski center energy autonomy. Upon completion of the second phase project, which is due 2015, a third phase will follow.
It is noted that prices at the Parnassos Ski Center will remain unchanged this season for the seventh time in a row.
