Super League games suspended for a week

As consequence to the latest turmoil in Greek football Alternate Minister for Sports Stavros Kontonis have announced the suspension of Greek Super League games for a week. "Under the current circumstances it’s impossible to hold games on Sunday", said Kontonis who also expressed the government’s determination to stop violence in sports. The minister is expected to meet with the Super League again next Wednesday to see if steps have been taken towards resolving the issue, while he will also take into account updated reports prepared by the Police and the Standing Committee for Handling Violence.
