From the 6th of September until the 14th “The Game Goes On” at Thessaloniki, where the 79th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), takes place at the city’s international exhibition canter. Enriched with new thematic events and activities, this year’s TIF hosts an exhibition by CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, a Chocolate Factory & Museum, a theme park that will remain open for six whole months, at Pavillion 1, and a special thematic on Orthodoxy, for the first time this year, hosting, among others, the museum of the Holy Metropolis of Thessaloniki.
An exhibition of Greek Food and Beverages, under the title “Flavors of Greece” will be operating at Pavilion 2, while at the same time, the “Gastronomy Corner” at Pavilion 7 will reveal the secrets of Greek Gastronomy through traditional Greek flavors combined with modern cuisine.
A major event-tribute to the Cretan tradition, nutrition and the culture of the island will be hosted at Pavilion 4. Equally significant will be the presence of the Chamber of Serres at Pavillion 12.
Within the Fair’s context there will also be “Auto-Moto” and “Energia” events as well as a “My Life in the City” thematic, hosted in a 3,000 m2 venue where visitors will have the opportunity to make “acquaintance” with leading Thessaloniki enterprises’ members and professionals, at Pavilion 16. For a second year, Google Developers Group (GDG) Thessaloniki, will introduce visitors to the community of Google programmers and the applications-tools they use.
A vast variety of parallel events are also included in this year’s TIF program, such as concerts at the MAD North Stage Festival, the RETRObit Exhibition of Collectible Computers and Game Consoles, organised by retroclub.info, and a special event for children with numerous happenings and games.
