Turkey pays compensation to Cyprus for 1974 invasion

Turkey will pay the amount of 90 million euros to Cyprus as compensation in regard to the results of the 1974 invasion, according to the Turkish NTV. The compensation was awarded by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), which came upon decision on Monday afternoon. It is considered one of the largest penalties ever issued by the European Court.
