University administrative employees to be rehired, amidst controversy

It has only been a few days since the new cabinet sworn in and controversies erupted between Administrative Reform Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and newly appointed Education Minister Andreas Loverdos, over the number of university administrative staff to be rehired after being placed in a labour reserve last year. Only 500 positions should be made available, insists Mitsotakis, while Loverdos wants 800 spots to open up. The matter is now been forwarded to the attention of Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and Deputy Premier Evaggelos Venizelos.
