Young travellers under 26 will be soon enjoying cheaper staying in Greece, as the Tourism Ministry with a draft bill recently issued, paves the path for the establishment of Youth Hostels in the country. The hostels will be accessible to students, teachers, professors, visiting professors and visiting scholars and will also collaborate with public and private educational institutions. Furthermore, members of Hostelling International (HI), a federation of over 70 national youth hostel associations in more than 80 countries, will be finding accommodation to the hostels.
The hostel services will operate under legislation applicable to all tourism accommodation facilities in Greece.
