Athens features among the 20 European cities to compete for the title of “European Best Destination 2015” within the context of the competition launched by EBD (European Best Destinations), a European Organization based in Brussels that promotes tourism in Europe.
The winner of the competition that will run from January 20 to February 10 will be the city with the most online votes, and Athens will be challenging Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Bordeaux, Brussels, Instanbul, Innsbruck, Lisbon, Ljubljana, London, Madrid, Milan, paris, Reykjavik, Riga, Rome, Valetta, Vienna and Zagreb. One of the 20 destinations will be awarded the title of “European Best Destination 2015” and will be authorized to use the title and its logo on all means of communication, adverts, webpage and photos, while it will also have the right to authorize its own public and private partners to use the logo. The next nine destinations in the EBD’s Top 10 will be announced through the Organization’s communications, website and social networks as being one the best European destinations to visit in 2015.
