City centre closed on Wednesday due to National Anniversary celebrations

Athens’ celebrations for the March 25, 1821 Anniversary of Greek Independence from Turkish rule reach their pick on Wednesday morning with the Military parade at Syntagma Square. The city center will be totally inaccessible as all main roads around Syntagma and Omonia squares will be closed to traffic. Traffic disruption will start from 6 a.m. until the end of the parade.
