Seven diplomatic missions are joining their love for Greece and talent to photography together to realize an inspiring photo exhibition entitled “Greece through the diplomatic lens”. A journey of discovery for all participants, this collective exhibition pays tribute to a country that embraces myth with reality, diversity with collective identity and tradition with contemporary life. Ambassadors and diplomats from the Embassies of Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia, Iraq, Lebanon, Russia and Switzerland have selected their most representative work, featuring photos of the Greek landscape and life, as seen through their own eyes, during their post in Greece. “Greece through the diplomatic lens” aims to bridge communication between the Greek public and the diplomatic corps, inviting the Greek audience to see beyond the stereotypes that usually follow the diplomats and the diplomatic life. The exhibition runs from October 2nd until October 11th at Melina Cultural Centre (Heraklidon 66 & Thessalonikis, Thisseio) and is under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, with the cooperation of the Organization for Culture, Sports and Youth of the Municipality of Athens and the support of Greek Diplomatic Life magazine.
