Controversial construction bill put on hold

Following the vast decrial and sonorous protests against the controversial bill that would lift restrictions on construction along the country’s coastline, the government has put the bill "on hold". According to a statement issued by state Minister Dimitris Stamatis, a close aide to Prime Minister Antonis, Samaras, the government is to “shape its final position” on the bill after the upcoming local authority and European Parliament elections.
