Greeks have lost faith in the European Union, claims new report

The Europeans show less "faith" towards the European Union and its key institutional framework, considered the European Parliament, the Commission or the European Central Bank, as resulting from a report released today by the European Commission, two weeks before Euro-elections, with the Greeks to be featuring on the top of that report.

59% of Europeans have no longer confidence in the EU unlike the 32% who still have, according to Eurobarometer. The remaining 9% expressed no opinion. The people of Estonia and Romania appear to have a greater level of confidence in the EU, holding a 58%, in contrast to the Greeks (81%) and Cypriots (74%). Additionally, the rate reaches 70% and 67% in Portugal and Spain, with both countries having suffered greatly.

In France and Germany the majority of citizens (63% and 59% respectively) do not have confidence in the EU, and only 28% of French and 3% of Germans show trust.
