Polytechnic staff strike called off

 A potential major crisis for hundreds of university students appears to bear down after administrative staff at the National Technical University of Athens decided to wrap nearly three weeks of strikes over mobility scheme, posing serious threat on the summer semester. The situation seems to loosen up following talks between the workers and the University’s academic authorities, appeals from students and the Minister of Education Andreas Loverdos, and reassurances received that all staff who have been inducted into the mobility scheme would be rehired.
