2014 Flying Week Airshow starts in Athens


The 2014 Athens Flying Week airshow will be held for the third consecutive year in Athens, Greece, from September 25 to 28 at Faliro and Tatoi.
During the Floisvos pre-show which starts at 5:30pm on Thursday, September 25, at the Paleo Faliro beach, visitors will enjoy the breathtaking aerial choreography performed by the legendary “Red Arrows” of the UK Royal Air Force as well as the stunning moves of two Apache helicopters of the Greek Army and three sea planes. Admission is free.
Events at the Tatoi airport will include the Demo-team of the Polish Air Force that comes to Greece for the first time, the Demo-team of the Hellenic Air Force “Zeus” and groups from the Dutch and Belgian Air Force. Visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy world champions Aude Lemordant and Francesco Fornabaio of the BREITLING team, champion Jurgis Kairys of VOSTOK, the Greek team «Daedalus» as well as the famous groups Blue Circe, Royal Jordanian Falcons, Orlik and Hawks of Romania.
The Flying Week places Athens among the European cities with the most spectacular air show demonstrations and attracts visitors from all over the world, contributing as much to the development of Greek tourism.
