Tourism minister visits Moscow

Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura headed for Moscow in order to promote and “re-establish” Greece as a holiday destination for the Russians.  Ms. Kountoura is attending the Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition, Russia’s largest travel exhibition currently running, where she aims to develop special programs for thematic tourism and attract investment to the Greek tourism sector. During her stay in the Russian capital she will meet with leading representatives of the Russian travel market to strengthen tourism cooperation between the two countries, while her agenda also includes meetings with Russian Deputy Minister of Culture Alla Manilova and the chief of the Federal Tourism Agency (Rostourism) Oleg Safonov. The exhibition runs until March 21.
