More than 31,000 undocumented immigrants to enter Greece by end of the year

The number of undocumented migrants entering Greece will exceed 31,000 by the end of the year, placing an extra burden upon the country’s Health system, said Health Minister Makis Voridis addressing at a ministerial conference on health in Rome. Voridis stressed the need for further cooperation and support, not only within the EU member-states, but also with non-EU countries, in order to increase infrastructure capacity and ensure that more health checks are performed to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
