Azerbaijani dancers to perform in Athens

Azerbaijan will “share” its rich cultural heritage with the Greek audience at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus this Saturday, September 27 at 21:00, during a charitable performance. The long dancing tradition of the Caucasian country, performed for the first time in Greece by the Azerbaijani state Dance Ensemble, will be accompanied by the enchanting tunes of the Azerbaijani State Symphonic Orchestra, named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli.

The event is organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Greece, in collaboration with the Marianna V. Vardinoyiannis Foundation and the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Greece has a series of cultural events listed in its agenda, aiming to introduce the country’s cultural tradition to the Greek public and develop further the bilateral cultural, diplomatic and economic relations of the two countries.

The event will be attended by Mehriban Aliyeva, First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Head of the Baku 2015 European Games Organizing Committee.
Tickets are available in the prices of 10 euros (lower section) and 5 euros (upper section), at the Hellenic Festival Box Offices (Panepistimiou, 39), the Odeon of Herodes Atticus Box Office, Bookstores Papasotiriou and IANOS and “Public” stores. All proceeds will go to support Greek schools.
