Greece second in the “Blue Flag” quality award list

Greece was granted second place on the 2014 “Blue Flag” quality award list, among 51 countries, with 408 awarded beaches, as announced by the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature.

Spain features on the top of the list with 571 awarded beaches. On the third place comes Turkey with 387, followed by France with 379 and Portugal with 298.

This year the International committee has awarded 3.372 beaches and 650 marinas all around the globe.
