TUI Travel, Europe’s biggest tour operator sees a “huge resurgence” in demand for holidays to Greece as the country stabilizes, revealed the company’s CEO Peter Long to Reuters.

Long added, Spain's Balearic Islands, Canary Islands and Turkey, were popular too, while further afield, Jamaica was also attracting more tourists.

The total number of customers for its mainstream summer holidays falls back 2 percent compared to last year, as Greece's resurgence as a popular tourist destination is offset by the slow pace of economic recovery in many countries of the region.
