The port of Piraeus has been ranked 10th in the top 10 of European ports chart in terms of container handling, according to Eurostat’s adjusted figures for 2013 released on Wednesday. As Kathimerini reports, Piraeus have handled 3.2 million containers, presenting an annual increase of 13.7 percent that signifies the highest rate among the top 15 ports on the continent.
