Yet another Russian tour operator, Solvex-Tourne, went bankrupt on Monday, leaving some 4,000 Russian visitors in Greece on the bum, and according to “Kathimerini”, the Association of Hellenic Tourism Enterprises (SETE) has issued a statement noting that it is of their top priority to help the Russian visitors who travelled to the country via Solvex, to return home, warning further that troubles with the Russian travel market may continue to rise. The newspaper also reports that the Greek National Tourism Organization general secretary Panos Livadas has sent a letter to Oleg Safonov, the acting head of Russia’s tourism authority (Rostourism), asking for the Russian contribution toward helping Russian visitors who came to Greece with Solvex to travel back home and ensuring for all dues to Greek tourism enterprises are settled.
