VAT rise on tourism business «not before October»

Any changes in the VAT rate related to tourism businesses and activities would apply from October, assured the Greek Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Koundoura speaking on Mega TV on Wednesday. “Nothing will change until October”, said the minister, noticing further that there is no decision made yet as from October onwards, negotiations are still in progress.
The Greek government has no intention of making changes that would harm the economy in general, stressed Koundoura, and Greece needs to be competitive against its key competitors.
