Authorities take measures against Ebola

As part of the measures the Greek authorities are taking as defence against Ebola, the crew of all ships arriving at the cargo terminal of the country’s main port of Piraeus will be obliged to remain on board the vessel until the captain has filled out a special form stating in detail the ship’s route and all its stopovers. According to the regional authorities in Piraeus, this measure aims to determine whether ships and their crews have docked on ports of affected countries, in view of the fact that the virus incubates within a period of 21 days.
Should suspicious cases emerge they will be reported immediately to the Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (KEELPNO).
