Ancient cemetery unearthed

An ancient cemetery, dating to the Late Bronze Age, came to light during construction works near the road sections in the Platamonas area of south Pieria. Among the findings there are 19 box-shaped tombs with several of them containing vases, bronze knives and copper rings. Some of the tombs were very small in size.
