Greek state to pay 133,000 euros in compensation to prison inmates

Upon the European Court of Human Rights decision issued on Wednesday, the Greek state is called to pay the total of 133,300 euros in compensation to six inmates of Trikala Prison who had appealed for excessive overcrowding in the prison. According to court, their detention was “inhuman and humiliating”.
