Aviation strike on-hold

Following an appeal by tourism professionals to Prime Minister Antonis Samaras to deter any action that would pose a threat for arrivals, the union representing employees of the Civil Aviation Authority decided to call off the strike scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. Though the strike would not lead to any flight cancellations, as the air traffic controllers were not to participate, still delays and a general noisome confusion was expected.
