Annual Rockwave festival coming next week

The count down for Greece’s biggest summer music festival has began as more than 40 artists tune up for this year’s “Rockwave” to be held on July 11 and 12 at TerraVibe Park, at Malakassa, just an hour away from the capital. The two stages of this year’s festival are surprisingly altered and renewed. The Vibe Stage will be as well featuring celebrated house and electronica DJs from abroad, while the notorious Eric Burdon, former frontman of the Animals, will be performing on Friday night. Saturday’s night line-up includes the French neo-fold musician Woodking and the Tex-Mex rockers Calexico.

The Under the Roof of Terra Stage pays its respects to the hip-hop scene, featuring a number of big Greek rappers as well as British hip-hop mogul Rodney P.
The one-day ticket for this year’s festival costs 16 to 20 euros accordingly, while for both days the ticket would be 30 euros. Tickets available at Ticket House (42, Panepistimiou str.) and Reload Stores (54, Panepistimiou str.). There will be buses to take you to the TerraVibe Park, departing from the Larissis Station central Athens until 8 p.m. and back from the Park to the city at the end of the shows.
